Fiji Museum – Suva
It is considered as one of the most important historical monuments in the country. The Fiji Museum is situated in the city of Suva. It is home to many historical artifacts dating back to the earliest civilizations in the country. The prehistoric gallery has antique items which are more than 3500 years old and belonged to the Vitian culture. The Fiji Museum was also host institution to the Pacific Islands Museums Association (PIMA) secretariat until 2006. It is also home to the rudder of the HMS Bounty of the mutiny fame.
Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple – Nadi
Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple is the largest Hindu temple in the Southern Hemisphere. The temple was built in the best traditions of ancient Dravidian Indian Temple architecture as well as the principles of sacred architecture of the Vastu Vedic tradition. The consecration ceremonies of their new national temple were held on July 15, 1994. The walls of the temple are carved with numerous statues of different deities each of which are designed according a specific religious meaning. To build this temple, 8 craftsmen were specially brought from India. The temple has regular pujas and is kept clean and pious.
Kadavu Island
Kadavu Island is one of the largest islands in Fiji. It is world renowned for its eco tourism. It is situated in close proximity of the famous Astrolabe Reef and is always held high for its stunning natural beauty. It is known for its natural landscapes and the low proximity of roads. It is not easily accessible by roads. You can easily access Kadavu Island by small boats and ferries. Koroyanitu National Park
Koroyanitu National Park is located in Abaca Lautoka (about 10km southeast of Lautoka). The natural reserve of Koroyanitu National Park offers incomparable adventure activities like mountain hiking, trekking and hiking amongst amazing landscapes. It is one of the six national parks in the country. It is famous with the hikers from around the world for its hiking trails that pass through various water bodies and the grand Mount Batilamu.
